Frequently Asked Questions

1. Application & Registration

Participants are required to complete an online application form, which includes submitting an updated Resume/CV and a Personal Statement addressing questions related to the programme theme of Digital Transformation.

You only need a few key items to get started. Ensure you have an updated Resume/CV prepared, and be ready to complete a personal statement related to the theme of Digital Transformation. The questions are designed to be reflective rather than technical, allowing you to express yourself authentically. Be prepared to present your ideas clearly. Just be yourself!

Applications are submitted individually. Participants will be grouped into teams to ensure diversity in backgrounds and perspectives across different courses. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and collaborate with like-minded peers. As spaces are limited and application applies on rolling basis, we encourage you to register early to secure your spot.

There will be three components in the screening of participants, namely: (1) Resume/ CV, (2) Personal Statement and Competency-based Questions, and (3) Video submission (optional). These components carry a total of 100 marks, and selection will be based solely on merit, relevant skills, and demonstrated potential.

We seek participants who demonstrate ambition, strong skills, and clear communication through their Resume/CV and Personal Statement. Applicants should highlight relevant experiences and achievements, while showing professionalism and the ability to reflect on challenges. In addition, participants are expected to demonstrate critical thinking and logical problem-solving skills, which will be assessed through the competency-based questions.

Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email within two weeks after applying.

2. Eligibility & Participation

I² is open to all Malaysian students, whether studying locally or abroad, from any academic background. This includes those in pre-university, undergraduate, and professional accreditation programmes (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW). Fresh graduates within 6 months of graduation are also eligible. All curious minds interested in industry exposure are welcome.

Of course! Joining Industry Insights is open to all Malaysian students. Even if you are new to these fields, you are welcome to apply. We encourage students who are curious about the industries and Partners & Sponsors (P&S) that we’ll be exploring this year. Don’t hesitate to apply—we look forward to seeing you!

Prepare for an exciting I² 2026! Although we’re welcoming everyone, we are giving priority to first-timers. Make sure to register early to guarantee your place among a diverse array of industries and Partners & Sponsors (P&S)!

That said, I² is open to Malaysian students studying abroad, so if you’re able to travel back for the programme, you are more than welcome to apply!

No, participants will not have the option to select their teammates. However, we will ensure diversity and inclusivity in each group, including a balance of different genders and students from both business and non-business backgrounds, to encourage the exchange of ideas and new perspectives.

In general, being present for the entire day of I² 2026 is the best way to guarantee a positive experience for all. You are also required to attend all sessions based on the package that you have selected. Nonetheless, we recognise that unforeseen circumstances may arise, so adjustments can be accommodated. Aim to engage in as many sessions as you can. It’s an invaluable chance!

Industry Insights is your opportunity to grow, explore, and discover your potential! Whether you are a newcomer or a seasoned event veteran, what matters most is your openness to learning, curiosity, and willingness to step out of your comfort zone. Share with us what you want to achieve, and we’ll be your partner in unlocking your full potential.

4. Logistics & Event Arrangements

Participants are advised to bring a notebook and pen for note-taking, a laptop or tablet (if available), and dress in business formal attire, especially during firm visits. Further details on what to prepare and bring will be shared in the Information Pack provided to successful applicants closer to the event date. Stay tuned!

Meals will be provided throughout the programme. Transportation will also be provided for all scheduled firm visits. However, accommodation is not included, and participants are expected to arrange their own stay if required.

No worries, we’d appreciate it if you could inform us as soon as possible so we can make the necessary arrangements and offer your slots to others.

5. Fees & Certification

There will be no registration fee for I². So feel free to sign up to not miss out on this chance!

Yes, participants who complete the programme will receive a certificate of participation. It serves as a recognition of your involvement and can be a valuable addition to your Resume/CV.
